2022-06-29 Today was Copenhagen Denmark. This is a beautiful little city with old world charm, and home to many pieces of art, a castle, and beautiful museums.
The pictures below are pictures of the Presidential palace, the famous Little Mermaid statue, the changing of the guard, Fredericksburg Castle, and many more sites around Copenhagen. The Little Mermaid is a famous Fairy tale about a mermaid, willing to give up her life in the sea for love. Loosely translated, it's where Disney's story came from :-) since Disney named her Ariel, we always tease Hannah that my mother, Arial, was the Little Mermaid :-) so I'll need to tell Hannah that I saw a statue of my mother here in Copenhagen lol.
I also took a lot of pictures on the balcony. It was so peaceful out there, and the green mixed with the blue was just peaceful. What I loved were all of the wind farms that were out in the water. We had marveled at all of the wind farms coming from Denver down through Texas on our Yellowstone trip, and we saw just as many here, evidence that they are capturing the wind for energy. I think that's wonderful!
Mike is having a heart catheterization as I write this, so thank you for your continued prayers. We haven't heard anything yet, but Shelley is going to let her mom know as soon as she hears something.
Tomorrow is sea day, and then we are on our way home Friday. I keep hearing this song Homeward Bound by Simon and Garfunkel, in my head :-) like all great adventures, they're fun while you're doing them but when it's time to come home, you're ready to come home, and I definitely am!
Let me post these pictures, and then I'm getting ready for bed. Tonight we move our clocks back 1 hour, back to London time again, so tomorrow I will only be 6 hours ahead of Central Time again. Looking forward to being back on Central time. If it takes me as long to adjust back as it did to adjust when I got here, I'm in trouble!
Two more posts, and then I'm settling in for a short time and we'll have nothing exciting to write about for a while!
Love the pictures!! Praying for Mike!
